Learn to map your problem space
In this series of 6 courses Indi will show you how to do better research to guide the direction of your product with less unconscious bias & greater clarity of opportunities. The courses cover Indi’s complete method of listening sessions, mental model diagrams, thinking styles, and opportunity maps, and can lead to a Certificate of Problem Space Research.

Courses

1. Listening Deeply
Next date: date coming soon
Listening deeply is a powerful skill. Most people don’t realize they are listening at the surface, so the experience doesn’t seem to shift anything. This course teaches depth.

3. Cultivating Patterns (analysis part two)
Next date: 24-Mar-21
Typical affinity grouping involves sticky notes and intuitive understanding of how concepts fit together. Bias creeps in. This course covers a more accurate method.

4. Thinking Styles
Next date: 5-May-21
Thinking styles are deeply researched, demographics-free mindsets. They are much more reliable and flexible than demographic & psychographic descriptions of sets of people.

5. Mental Model Diagrams as Opportunity Maps
Next date: 16-Jun-21
Opportunity maps are tools for design strategy & inclusivity. They force you to look at your solutions through the perspective of people trying to accomplish their own purposes.

6. Framing Your Study
Next date: 11-Aug-21
A research study requires careful choices. This course will help you decide what knowledge your organization needs, the purpose your users have, and the framework for a study.
